Celebrating three years of collaborating with CNN Heroes!
For the third year, CNN Heroes is collaborating with the Elevate Prize Foundation! The Elevate Prize Foundation will grant the CNN Hero of the Year an additional unrestricted grant of $100,000 and provide the remaining honorees with a generous grant of matching funds up to $50,000 each, organizational capacity-building, and resources to bring visibility to their work and maximize their impact.

With our award, his organization, the Wade Family Foundation, has launched a new digital platform called Translatable (announced live on stage at our Make Good Famous Summit!). Translatable will serve as a safe space where young members of the trans community can express themselves, and as an educational resource for their friends and family.

For the first time, the Elevate Prize Foundation has awarded $25,000 as part of our Elevate Prize GET LOUD initiative during the Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards led by Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace & Security. The funds recognize peacebuilders Angela Scharf, Foreign Relations Coordinator for Women Wage Peace, and Reem Hajajreh, founder and director of Women of the Sun, for their collaborative efforts toward a peaceful resolution.
