Trisha Prabhu invented the concept for ReThink at age 13, after reading about a 12-year-old who died by suicide following prolonged cyberbullying, developing technology that detects potentially harmful messages and prompts users to reconsider before posting them. The ReThink app was named one of Google Play’s Most Innovative Apps in 2016, and Prabhu has since launched ReThink Citizens, a youth-led nonprofit spin-out that expands the mission into digital literacy education and youth advocacy. She studied at Harvard and, as a Rhodes Scholar, at the University of Oxford, and has authored the book “ReThink the Internet.”
