Water for South Sudan
Apr 07, 2021
What’s your cause?
Sanitation, hygiene and adequate water access is critical for preventing and containing diseases. Clean water makes a huge impact on a community. Water is life! We work with communities on a local level to provide access to clean, safe water and improve hygiene and sanitation practices in areas of great need.
How do you do it?
By focusing on hygiene education, and by drilling wells – 40 to 50 a year, each one pumping around 1,800 gallons of water per day, enough for 500 – 1000 people. Local people are trained to maintain the well, and connected to local supply chains, so fresh water can continue to flow for years to come.
What’s one small step people can take to help?
