At this year’s Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards at Georgetown, two organizations were honored for their courageous work in building a peaceful resolution. For the first time in the event’s history, both groups received $25,000 in unrestricted funds as part of the Elevate Prize GET LOUD initiative, amplifying their efforts toward lasting peace.

Did you know that, in the U.S., only 10% of Deaf children learn ASL? And, worldwide, a staggering 98% of Deaf children do not receive an education in sign language? According to 2024 Elevate Prize winner, Melissa Malzkuhn, this lack of language access constitutes a human rights crisis. “Without language, Deaf people are dehumanized.” 

Brilliant Detroit, a 2023 Elevate Prize winner, is growing! Launching Brilliant Cities, they are bringing their model to Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Chicago by 2027. Brilliant Cities focuses on creating "kid success neighborhoods," providing crucial support for families with children ages 0-8.
