ABOUT Equalize Health
Each year, more than two million newborn babies die within their first month of life, and more than 300,000 mothers die in childbirth. Equalize Health is on a mission to widen access to medical treatment and address the leading causes of maternal and newborn deaths. Since its founding in 2008, the organization has launched five medical innovations including a blood loss monitoring device for mothers at risk of hemorrhage, and a neonatal continuous positive air pressure device to treat respiratory distress syndrome. Over one million patients have been treated to date. The goal? To accelerate reaching the next five million patients by 2025 — and create a more equitable global health ecosystem along the way.
