The Project: Sehat Kahani – Health for All The Big Picture: While 70% of medical students in Pakistan are female, but for cultural reasons (the doctor bride phenomenon) over 50% of female doctors drop out of the medical practice when they get married. Dr. Zafar and her team are bringing these women back into the workforce, empowering them to practice through medicine through flexible telehealth technology and connecting them to rural communities that lack good healthcare access.
