Jewel Malone brings over 15 years of experience bridging public and private partnerships across corporate, government and nonprofit sectors all with a common purpose to advance and create healthy, sustainable communities. To date, she has stewarded over $40 million of charitable grants toward community development, education and arts and culture programs. Malone has focused on meaningful opportunities that increase organizational growth and effectiveness by infrastructure and capacity building, staff and board development, strategic planning, impact measurement, and rebranding.
Most recently, Malone served as the Executive Director for YoungArts, The National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists and previously also held the role of COO since 2016. Malone has also served as COO for the Chicago Children’s Choir, the nation’s largest choral music education organization. Prior to this, Malone served as Deputy Commissioner at the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events overseeing strategic initiatives and cultural grants programs. Malone forged her path toward philanthropy and social impact work at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she served as Vice President for Corporate Responsibility and Global Philanthropy.Born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in Chicago, Malone received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She resides in Miami Shores, FL with her husband and daughter.
