Giovanna Bortolamedi

Giovanna joins the Elevate Prize Foundation with a passion and commitment to support the overall mission, values, and social impact of the Foundation. She has over 15 years’ experience supporting senior executives both in the private and non-profit sector.

Prior to joining the Elevate Prize, Giovanna worked at Flagship Pioneering, a life sciences venture capital firm in Cambridge where she supported 2 senior partners. She also worked for the CEO, Editor in Chief and Publisher of MIT Technology Review, a bi-monthly magazine published in 1899, which co-produced Solve@MIT, and while in her native Italy, she worked for the international director of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums where she met two popes. In Rome, Giovanna was social secretary to the spouse of the former US Ambassador to Italy and helped coordinate two presidential visits.Before the pandemic, Giovanna opened her own interior design studio, but after reconnecting with a former colleague at Elevate, she realized she wanted to devote her career to creating a more purpose-driven life and joined the Elevate Prize in February 2022.
